Last updated 24 August 2026. Drydock is a free monthly newsletter about the Shopify App Store, published at drydock.club. This page is short because we collect very little.
_fbc cookie. We read it when you subscribe so we can tell which ad brought you.We do not collect your name, payment details, or any sensitive category of data. We do not buy data about you or enrich what you give us from other sources.
Two reasons, and no others: to send you the newsletter you asked for, and to measure which advertisements actually bring subscribers so we stop paying for the ones that don't. If you are in the UK or EEA, our lawful basis is your consent for the newsletter, and our legitimate interest in measuring our own advertising.
We run the Meta pixel on this site. It sets a _fbp cookie in your browser and tells Meta that you visited, so we can measure whether our advertising works. If you subscribe, it reports that too. The _fbc cookie described above is set by Meta when you click one of their ads.
These are the only cookies involved — we set none of our own beyond the pixel, and Vercel's analytics is cookieless. If you would rather not be measured this way, any tracker blocker will stop the pixel from loading, and Meta's ad preferences let you limit how your activity is used. Blocking it does not affect the newsletter.
Your email address stays on the list until you unsubscribe. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link and it takes effect immediately. After you unsubscribe we retain the address only for as long as it takes to make sure we never mail you again.
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Email privacy@drydock.club and we will act within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EEA you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Drydock is written for people who build software commercially. It is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If anything material changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
